My entry to Penguin Design Awards Children's Catagory - Wind in the Willows
Some of the main themes in the book are friendship, journey and adventure, I wanted to try and get these themes accross in my design. One of the major motifs in the book is the river and the riverbank, and it is portrayed as a place of safety and seen by the characters as a 'home' The river is where all adventures begin and where they all seem to eventually end. I have tried to portray the journey through the use of the spiralling river, showing that every journey in the book is full of twists and turns.
